New Goldfrapp Album News!!!
Ahoy there mateys
Just to let you know that we haven't forgotten about you....... News has reached these parts that after months of beavering away in studios from the West Country to the West Coast, and having returned from their recent stint in LA LA land, Alison and Will are in the UK putting the finishing touches to the album this week. As yet untitled, (so keep those suggestions coming  ) it will be rearing it's antlers early next year.... Keep logged on for more news in the coming weeks, and perhaps a few tasters for you....if you behave yourselves.... That is all for now. More news soon. Tally ho The Deer Xx |

Wow - that's good news! Thanks for getting those hooves typing it for us, Deer.
Turning the majority of the album round so fast makes me think they had a good flow of inspiration and hit the ground running somewhat. That might make for something nice and spontaneous. I think that shows for the better in music. As for potential tasters, I think you'll be getting a whole heap of "yes please!" type replies. As for us behaving....well.....do you really think that's likely?

Exciting!
My suggestions for an album title: ''Who Killed Judith Charmers?'' OR ''WaterColourChallenge Tears'' in honor of Hannah Gordan. And I think you should keep the tasters to just one or two tracks for now...hearing bits of almost everything (like with SN), while exciting and nice, removes some of that initial shock/buzz/surprise element you get from hearing a brand new album in its entirety for the first time... |

Great news, deer!
As for the tasters... can't wait!  (Next year still seems quite far away.)I remember Will saying in an interview that - for this album - they were going to try to storyboard (and maybe film) some accompanying videos at the same time as the music. Would be ultra-cool if there were some visuals available up-front too! But I guess that's being greedy.  |

*runs fast as certain board members living in Long Beach chuck pieces broken asphalt at head* Ok, deer, now that we've established that Goldfrapp were, in fact, in LA, which wasn't a big surprise... I want my photo of Alison in a Dodgers jersey!!! You guys DID remember my request, right?
