Nope, not a mistake, but Eldritch doing vocals on this track as a demo for the album that would have followed "First and Last And Always" had Eldritch and Hussey not fallen out etc etc
Yes, Stephanie and PeppermintPig - this sort of stuff will be in your forthcoming electronic goodie-bag ! ;):D

It IS that bad and it's just by a bunch calling themselves "The Sisters". If the chart was made for comedy value then we have a number 1 contender......unfortunately I don't think that was the intention !

Kate Bush, Disc one of the b-sides in 'This Woman's Work'
Do you know what I did once? At school we had to write four poems that kind of linked to each other, and display them on a suitable background (this was 1986, so there was no chance of doing it on a computer) and I wrote three and couldn`t think how to bring them all together in a final poem. So I copied most of the lyrics to "Under The Ivy", adding a verse I made up just so I didn`t feel like a total thief, and submitted the lot on glued-together pictures of ivy that I`d cut out of Time Out. I got three `B`s for my own poems and an A minus for (ahem) "Kate`s Party"! I was even asked to read it out at assembly but I didn`t, imagine the shame of being exposed by an arty fifth-year!

The only thing I can find out about them is a bass tablature for the above song :( I think this computer has "limited" Google so it won`t offend anyone.

WikiLinky (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_%28band%29)
It's very very loud and very very noisy. There's riffs going off in all directions at once and the drumming sounds like the kit is falling down the stairs while being played by an octopus. The vocals are rasped and screamed and under it all are some very bombastic and overblown keys.
You know what though ?

I have been in a Skinny Puppy mood for a week now. It's nuts, I was listening to some of their stuff from 1985 (see below) and it holds up brilliantly. I asked someone who wasn't familiar with them to listen to a track and try to take a guess what year the song came out. They said 1995....NOPE try 1985! They are definitely one of the true innovators of their generation.

Delacey - That look
I know you want me
The look is in your eyes
Seems like I feel you touching me with your mind
Unspoken pleasure
Undying ecstasy
Such is the way
Youre playing with my heart
Making love in my mind
hoping we will never part
I see that look, I see that look in your eyes

Decided, on a whim, that I'm going to have a Kraftwerk period for a few days !
Started off by queueing up "Trans-Europa Express" and "Die Mensch-Maschine".
Yep, that's right, I have all albums on my Zen in their original German language incarnations - odd after being so used to the English versions but they work very well. They're possibly the versions proposed for Der Katalog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Catalogue) (or here (http://www.kraftwerk.com/info/com/CD/katalog.html)) later in 2007 - only time will tell ?

Kraftwerk
"Spiegelsaal" (The Hall of Mirrors)
"Schaufensterpuppen" (Showroom Dummies)
Even on these more basic tracks it's pretty much unbelievable that they were recorded in 1976, some 30 years ago ! There's something about the overall sound and atmosphere, regardless of the kit used, that still makes them feel more futuristic and ahead of their time than they have any right to be. Considering the stuff used compared with that around today that's quite some feat !
‘The culture of Mitteleuropa was cut off in the Thirties, and many of the intellectuals went to the USA or France, or they were eliminated. We [Kraftwerk] are picking it up again where it left off, continuing this culture of the Thirties, and we are doing it spiritually.’
Astonishing.

Kraftwerk
"Trans-Europa Express" / "Metall Auf Metall" / "Abzug"
I'd completely forgotten the ultra-industrial mid-section of this - 'Metall Auf Metall" - all sheet metal being struck and hard rhythm lines for bar after bar. It's all cold, serious and pretty full on before lapsing back into morphing versions of the classic train rhythm and subtly shifting sequencer lines.
Joyous, yet wonderfully detached.

Cardiacs - "Baby Heart Dirt"
Anyone remember them? They were a lot like Sparks, but obsessed with death and existentialism. They were the weirdest looking band ever. I was a big fan. Their fanzine used to come in envelopes filled with confetti.
...............Uno Che Grida Amore - Ennio Morricone.........
............'Deep In It' - St. Germain............
How odd.
Something around my PC desk is making a rhythmic clicking noise.
But I don't know what it is and it's too faint to accurately pinpoint it's source.
...but no part of my PC should be clicking. Odd.

"Ruckzuck"
from 'Kraftwerk'
I love digging these out from time to time. "Kraftwerk", "Kraftwerk 2" and "Ralf und Florian" are such an odd mix of Krautrock, garage band and proto-electronics in varying amounts across the albums. Drones, flute solos, psychedelic guitar riffs - it's all here !
