Who else?
I only know of 2 people, including myself
Me, PeppermintPig (Heaton Chapel), EvilPinkQueeny (Gatley) I think RubySlipper is from there too but I don't know which part. There's somewhat of a South Manchester mafia.

I wanted to hear this again, especially after see the footage on NASA TV today from the fore and aft sections of the right shuttle solid booster. It showed the whole stack heading up with the earth falling into the distance. Then, when the boosters fell away, it was a spin of the sea below and space and the sun above, with the pinpoint of the shuttle main engines so bright in the distance.
Then the parachute opened, and the booster splashed into the Atlantic.

Planningtorock : When Are You Going To Start
Just got the album. It's quite a uniqe gem - It's very larger than life and very original. It's all very - like going to a huge, strange theatre with music from the future. Her vocals are crazy and not very structured - and you can hear her facination of strings and layering of vocals, actually layering of everything. It doesn't seem experimental for the sake of it though - a lot of people don't seem to get what she's trying to do with her music - but I think she's really got something to bring to the table.

This is absolutely heartbreakingly amazing. Very cinematic, brilliant brass and and string arrangements. The climax lasts for 4 minutes. Lots of reveerb, echoes, noises, etheral vocals....and then it just explodes like a lightning bolt. It's one of those songs that makes me tearful. Beauty.

Don't you love the sunny weather and the sort of crazed chill-out choooooons it encourages to find my Zen, thus:-
The Orb - "Towers of Dub"
I still say this should be called "Towers of Dog" due to the use of the dog sample, which leads me on to.....
The Orb - "Towers of Dub (Mad Professor remix)"
....where the 15min dub madness gets dubbed over again in a mix that heads off for the stratosphere somewhere.
The Orb - "Assassin (The Oasis of Rhythms mix)"
Hard synth lines and meaty eastern-sounding techno stomper....
The Orb - "Assassin (Chocolate Hills of Bohol mix)"
....turned into a blissed out beatless ambient wig-out.

Casiotone for the painfully alone - Love Connection
I love that song but the lyrics make really uncomfortable listening.
And there is a tenuous connection in it to what I'm listening to in that James Murphy said that Owen Ashworth is 'the new Morrissey' - which I can sort of understand.

How's that gestating in Tremblers ear-holes by now ?
Nicely put.
In general, the album still leaves me an iota unsatisfied. Then again I do need more time, and I trust that I can invest this time on Thom (Hail To The Thief Really Paid Off). Sparseness can take just as long to appreciate as epicness I suppose, and there isn't really a weak track. I do wish he explored a few more sounds though, however, I understand that the album's scope is constrained by design almost. Saying that though the length in general doesn't bother me as has other people. To be fair, anything which clocks in significantly over forty minutes does well not to bore me.
I like the title track more and more every time I hear it, especially the ending. In fact I wish he made a song just out of that loop alone at the ending.
And as for Harrowdown Hill - it just gets better every time I hear it. I've heard its going to be a single, and I wait to see the promo with baited breath. This also allows it to qualify for the prestigous Trembler's Single Of The Year 2006 (which at the moment is being led by '7/4 Shoreline' by Broken Social Scene. Those interested may want to know that last years title was taken by Rilo Kiley's 'Portions For Foxes' (and before any of you start I know the album was out the year before that but the single wasn't - as is the BSS song).
There's a very good review of it (the Thom Yorke album) here; although I'd have given it a higher overall score:
