Ah yes what brilliance!

Hmm. I prefer the first two albums - I think they were running out of ideas by the time they got to this. They pretty much nailed it with 'Origin...' and everything they did since just doesn't seem to compare IMO. Except the 'Map Of Your Head' B-side which is great.

Absolution has a couple of decent moments but I'm not going to bother with the new one. Especially if its going to be a bit "what should we do now? erm, bolt on a piano part just to show of how we, y'know, do classical as well."

A more synthy direction that was shown in 'Time Is Running Out' could persuade me to think otherwise, but I might just have to leave Muse in sixth form - with BRMC, The Coral, Ash etc.

I don't actually know much about them, to be honest. I was watching "The L Word" series two on DVD at the weekend and heard it on there, loved it, so downloaded it from iTunes. Is the album worth getting?

VisualFallacy
16-05-2006, 08:56
Definitely, they're really good! They got loads of publicity through L word... its quite funny actually cuz the lead singer is the only one of them who's a lesbian but they're seen as this big lesbian band. The L word sked them to play... the rest is history.

I really recommend the album, its a shame they've not really got a lot of stuff to get.

Beautiful avatar Vespertine :) Today I had shuffle on my iPod, as usual, and the live version from Live Box of Pluto came on (I realise its not from Post, but anyway) and it was one of those moments. It's so powerfull when the strings come on during the "yeaahhhhh ahhh yeahhh ahhhh!" bits. I got goosebumps all over, Björk does that to you.

Listening to it right now.

Cheers Yngel_el! I was just listening to "Post" and thought that it (the album cover) deserved an avatar. :D

"Pluto" has always been one of my all-time favourite Björk songs!! It's amazing live but even moreso on the "Greatest Hits" tour - with fireworks and flames. I think that I need to stick the DVD that I have : on now!! :D :D :D

The Macc Lads - "Miss Macclesfield"

revolting AND refreshing

I have a 3CD Macc Lads anthology.

This PROVES I had far too much disposable income in sixth-form

Funniest thing of theirs in on a live concert video when it all suddenly goes black and a hastily written sign on a bit of cardboard appears saying:-

"Some cunts just poured a pint of beer in the fucking mixing desk" :D
