I think the Orb were really good at that as well. I know it's kind of obvious but 'White Fluffy Clouds' comes to mind.

I have to say that is a great song but on the whole that album was pretty poor (with the exception of the first track which was sublime). I saw the drama the Eccleston speech came from "The Second Coming", and it does work great in that track - they actually repeat the words a 2nd time and filter it so that it's barely audible.

The blue album - which that track is from was I think their poorest, so in some respect, although I'm a huge huge fan, I'm glad they won't be releasing any more albums that are a dissappointment.

Reading your post actually reminded me of my awful time as a glass collector at The Works, in Birmingham (customers are all wankers and whores, music is utter shit in every room and half of the staff can't spell "tree")
Anyway, we had several training sessions with that "Fish method" (or was it written "Phish"?)... They basically taught us how to smile and have fun with the customers............ so stupid! Most of the employees there thought they I had a crappy job and there wasn't one reason for me to be happy... So much bullshit and hypocrisy...

I haven't seen the movie acutally but I'd like to change that. I hear many good things about it.
I wan't aware they were coming out with a new album, I don't check the site enough I guess. (not that they have a news section lol)

Okay - trying to remember that French song now - there was something at the end where I`m sure they sang (in French of course) "We don`t write in English, we always write in French" and I`m pretty sure (from what Stuart Maconie was saying afterwards) that it was a female trio. I loved it!

I watched it as well. I've had the Go! Team album for about a year and a half now, and I'm still not bored of Ladyflash.
Did you see Son of Dork though? How does anybody fall for this rubbish? And there is no way that the Arctic Monkeys deserve the hype. He's a good lyricist, but musically they aren't anything special at all.
Now:
Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
The Carpathian

The entire Border Community label back catalogue (currently Nathan Fake "Outhouse (Main mix)")
Most tracks so far fall between the styles/sounds/moods of Aphex, Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Underworld, Sasha, Detroit techno, reaaaaally progressive house and further out to M83 land.
Check out anything (literally) touched by James Holden or Nathan Fake for a cracking listen.
Not a chav tune in sight (no cheese please !) and one of the few labels with a hit rate nearing 100% quality wise from every artist signed.
I know I've banged on about Nathan before on here but the stuff really is that good ! Honest
Newcomers should maybe try:-
