Anyone who knows Beth Gibbons album Out of Season? A wonderfully sad, lovely melancholic (right word?), autumnal kind of record. It's really very very beautiful, a lot different from her work with Portishead.

I'd probably never have dug through that thread without a reason so thanks for the pointer ! A few conclusions:-
1) Where have all those other people gone ?
2) Ok, so the history of the mix is dodgy. Oh well, never mind !
3) I like the fact Alison is Human.
4) I'm listening to Forever - mountaineers remix.
(number 4 was not influenced by the 'distemper' thread. It was to keep this on topic ! :p )

Not because she has a strange (but weirdly attractive) face, more because she seems a bit bland. I've filed her in that massive box of 'mildly pleasing female singer/songwriters' with stuff like Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann and Bic Runga, you know, the sort of stuff that you like.:p
My mate has seen her countless times though and insists that she doesn't get the credit she deserves. Perhaps people are distracted by her strange face.
I'm listening to:
Killla Kela - Elocution
Again. This is very good.
her face is strange but she is gorgeous. I love BLack horse and the cherry tree
I need to start listening to Aimee man again, haven't listened to her in a while. Fiona apple <3
just been watching the new patrick wolf video-tristan

Listening to (and watching) a video for a quite astoundingly stripped down version of Depeche Mode "Waiting for the night" via the DMReceiver.
The original is my favourite DM track ever and I want this on a single or album and I want it now.
