Chicks On Speed. I have heard just a few songs of them - the one you mentioned, Worthy Rappinghood & What Was Her Name (featuring Alain Clarke) - but I kinda like them. Have you listened their second album? I have read some very different reviews about it: some are positive but others are negative. It seems it's very avant-gardistic and it's all about improvisation.

By the way, why did you change your avatar? I liked the old one. The new one is a bit unclear. I cannot see what it is. However it's your own business of course which avatar you choose.

Tomoyasu Hotei vs Fun Lovin' Criminals - Kill The Bad Guy

Sublime 'splice' of Tomoyasu Hotei's "Kill The Bad Guy" and Fun Lovin' Criminal's "Kill The Bad Guy". Ingenius. And double the bad guy slaying too!

yeah their second album, 99cent is really good, i bought it last year. it is very 'avant garde' and has great guest vocals by peaches and miss.kittin. check it out.

i changed my avatar because i had the old one for a year and i got a bit bored of it. this new one is kate bush wearing a tutu and a dunce's hat holding the world in her hands. i think its symbolic of the worlds political leaders.

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)

Here's what Kate herself says about it... :)

http://children.ofthenight.org/cloudbusting/music/running_up_that_hill.html

Seems some people misunderstood its meaning, which I thought was reasonably obvious from the words but some thought it was about Kate wanting to swap with God when it's really about a man and woman in love wanting to swap places to better understand each other.

Kate herself still thinks of it by its original name, A Deal with God, which was changed to get airplay in certain countries when a title with "God" in it wouldn't have.

Here up in Indy there isn't a station that solely plays that kind of music. Everything up here is more mainstream (but newer) than I thought it'd be. But I must admit anything beats 96.1 and 106.1. Those stations blow complete @$$.

BUT, once my friend said he heard "Strict Machine" on a dance radio show up here. I'm not sure whether or not I believe him but the thought is cool!!!!!!

Its a good song to sing, but I couldn't really sit down and listen to it. Well maybe I'll just have to sit down and listen to it. Thats the thing with music. Some songs you don't like at first become your all time favourites. Like Slayer's 'Reign in Blood' album. When I first heard it I hated it, but now I love it, especially 'Altar of Sacrifice'. The lyrics are so bad they're good. I think they're really funny, 'Enter to the realm of Satan!'
I love Black Sabbath. I love the songs, 'Never Say Die', 'Spiral Architect' and 'Laguna Sunrise', what a beautiful piece of instrumental magic. Their albums, 'Master of Reality', 'Vol. 4' and 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' are great. I love Led Zeppelin. Physical Graffiti is such a good album. My favourite Zep song has to be 'Ramble On'. Its probably my favourite song, you could say its 'my song' in a way, which is a bit sad. But then again, Sandy Denny's 'All Our Days' could well overtake it as my favourtie. But then again Kate Bush's cover of 'Mna na hEireann' could overtake that as well.
Kate's mother was Irish did you know?

I became interested in Ennio Morricone again after I've bought Felt Mountain. We all know there's a resemblance between that album and Ennio's work. He's such a great composer. The melodies are simple and to the point ... but still very beautiful. The instruments he use in his compositions are all important, nothing in it is just there to fill up an empty void. As far as I know he didn't copy anyone. What he did in the sixties was quite experimental. I think also he's the first one who used the 'whistle sound' in serious compositions

Eamonnn said already he still continues making music at his high age. Probably only dead can stop, so I really hope he stays alive for many years.

Sorry Netflier, that wasn't me. I think it was somebody equally as fabulous, if not more so. Ricky Roo peut etre?

Somebody else was talking about Depeche Mode earlier on in the thread. 'Enjoy the Silence'. Have to say I really like that song.

Does anyone listen to classical music? Ravel is pretty good, some of Debussy's is quite beautiful and Vaughan Williams' 'The Lark Ascending' is breath taking.

I really love 'Hairy Trees'. 'You give me this love...' Mmmmmmmmm
