True Trembly, first half is more instantly accessable. The second half is a bit experimental, but just as good. Am playing 'The Kick Inside' myself right now.
Anyone heard Placebo's cover of 'Running Up That Hill'? It's quite good.

No, but It can't be as good as the Futureheads 'Hounds of Love' which I think they're releasing as a single soon.

I haven't heard it over here yet. But I have been avoiding pop radio lately. Most of the work day is spent listening to the 'classsic rock' station at work, which is the best I can pick up.
Funny thing; on the pop station, you hear the same songs 5 times a day. But on the classic rock station, you hear the same 5 bands all day. Tons of Ozzy, (slightly sarcastic yay).

When I worked at Hewlett Packard on the night shift about 3 years ago, we always listend to Classic Gold (not my personal choice I hasten to add). Anyway, they would play the same exact playlist every night for a month. No changes or alterations, nothing. By the end of 1 week, you would know the entire lyics and chord sequences to any song they played. It was totally mind melting.
Anyway, currently listening to Ute Lemper - The Punishing Kiss

I just heard on the radio that Evansville will get be the permenant home of an LST like the ones built here in World War II. LST's took men and equipment across the seas and channels to the battlefronts of the war. The Evansville Shipyard was on the shore of the Ohio River here on the west side.

It's sheer poetry! Cue an approporiate example.
'I brought my pencil....give me something to write on, man!'
Something tells me he's not really singing about stationery.
I have to say that Van Halen (well, the early stuff) are really good in an outrageously trashy way. Proper good fun when turned up loud!

Agreed. The song is a total rockin' bastard! I'm also consantly listening to 'Vertigo' by U2. It's frickin' brilliant, I love it! Best single they've done in absolutely ages. It's shallow, stupid and it absolutely rocks!

Other faves of the Roth era...
The Cradle Will Rock (Have you seen junior's grades!!)
Hang Em' High
Van Hagar can move massive units, and put out a decent song once in a while. But it ain't the same. Roth could be hard as hell to get along with (especially when he was in the sauce, but who wasn't in that band). But it was clear that when the sparks flew, that was where the metal was being sharpened.

The live version of 'Rock and a Hard Place' by The Rolling Stones, from their concert album Flashpoint. A pretty bad song in its studio incarnation, but this live version is quite a laugh: the guitars are funnier and the sound is less coldly produced. Still a crap song in the end though!
And now i'm listening to the brilliant 'Lopez' by 808 State and James Dean Bradfield, which is just a wicked, wicked song. Really lovely guitars all the way.

Home is pretty crunchy; typical teen angst, but with lyrics that are probably too true these days.

And thank you for asking after me Brian. My Christmas has oscilliated between the sublime (Christmas Eve with my friend Andy's girlfriend Sarah and her simply divine friend Kate being the high-point) and the worst imaginable (Christmas dinner with my Gran being a total bitch to my mum). Overall though, a good Christmas filled with many beautiful women, many fantabulous compliments directed my way and some awesomely strange amounts of marzipan in chocolate (2.5 kilos!?).

Diplo--Way More
This was the lonliest Xmas I have had for a while; no family get-together because of the snow. A promised invite from my pastor fell through, also. It was not a total loss; a cool convo with Danni (see above), and Chinese Buffet with Becca kept it from being a total scrub.
Anyway, there are thousands now in South Asia who love that kind of boredom.
Ukraine may get some freedom, though before the holiday is over.

The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
This is brilliant! Absolutely brilliant. I thought that 'Ladyflash' on the Radio 1 advert was on the new Lemon Jelly album, but it's by the Go! Team, and it's amazing.
Lots of comparisons with the Avalanches, but I'd say its more like Lemon Jelly played at a higher speed, and more percussion.
