Goldfrapp - Blog

hey!

ive got some kind of virus, not the swine type, but on my computer…..so i had to wait to get on someone else’s to write this.

anyway, its the end of the rainy saturday and i’m lying in bed.  i don’t have much to report really.  it’s been another week of writing in london and all is good.  so just a quick note to say ‘hi’ before i start getting ready to go out for drinks with friends.

hope the sun shines for us tomorrow!

all love

  10. Yeah Ali … I am sure you read some of the comments … how about picking one you like, or that amuses you, and perhaps making a subtle reference to it. That would be fun!

  13. I love you guys, i can’t wait to hear your new album, you have to show these so called pop stars how to make decent music!! I loved seventh tree but loved supernature SO much, it is classic, perfect rock/pop. I know your next album will be a trip and one i can’t wait to hear, love and light emma xx

  15. I just read about you breaking your foot! You poor thing! My friend did exactly the same and she was jogging! (enough to put you off it for life personally) Another friend also was walking and broke her foot, feet are such fragile things! Well at least it doesn’t stop you writing! I am so excited to hear your new stuff. I saw you at V festival in 2005 (?) when you premiered the new stuff from supernature - you were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Then i saw you at cambridge corn exchange, with my ex (he kept the programme - boo hiss) which was amazing, shame about the company lol.
Can’t wait to hear your new album, people need to hear it, your such an inspiration Alison, love that you stay true to yourselves and dont let anyone influence you, love it, i send lots of creativity your way.

    Best wishes

    Emma

  23. Bonjour,
Here is a small cat (web address below).
By teasing his belly or his stomach with mouse pointer, we make him purr.
He is going to mew if we rub him the forehead.
Make slowly turn the mouse pointer around him (anticlockwise)…
Place the mouse pointer in front of his paw …

  25. hi Alison, great to hear what you are up to these days.

Goldfrapp are really special, my favourite album is Supernature, Seventh Tree is really growing on me, forgive the pun. I live in a little Hampshire village that you might know, Oakhanger, not far from Alton where you went to college I believe. Your cat looks really cool, I always figured you were a cat person, we have a Rag Doll cat called Archie, he’s a bit cool too. All the best Simon

  29. Hello Alison,

Well I have a virus - I woke up Sunday with a Summer Cold. They are the worst! Then again it has been really hot all week in Mainland Europe so perhaps that sudden weather change triggered my flu. Yuck.

So as much as you are into pagan and animal imagery, why no chimpanzees in your videos? I’ve seen horses, foxes, dogs, birds and what not but still no chimps. Perhaps a song about Michael Jackson and his pet ‘Bubbles’ might be an appropriate way to work one in to one of your videos next time ;) - just dress up like him, dance around and have a fake nose fall off with the chimp’s surprised reaction! :D

    (just kidding)

  30. Since your computer had a virus, I recommend you get a Macbook, they don’t get virii as much. And you can still run Windows on them if you want. :-)

  39. Hi, Alison!
When I discovered that you’re 43 years old I couldn’t believe! I was in shock!
You look like 26 years old, in the maximum!

So… When will you be in Brazil for a concert? I really need a concert of Goldfrapp.
Have you ever been in Brazil? I don’t know this becouse I listened your song at the first time on 2007. More precisely the album Seventh Tree, that is the best album that I ever listened. And I still listen. I Can’t pall to listen this album.
